When it comes to renting a property, it’s important that you are prepared when you are going to view a property that you make sure to have all the correct documents required. This will increase your chances of being successful in renting the for the property, as the agent will require these documents to do their reference checks.

Here is a checklist of the documents you will require:

  • A reference from your current employer
  • A reference from your current/previous landlord
  • Photo ID such as a passport or driving licence
  • PPS number (This is required for the registration of the tenancy with the Residential Tenancies Board)
  • Recent bank statement / Payslip
  • Security deposit (one month rent)
  • One month rent in advance
